About
The Shield Institute continues to fulfill our mission, delivering individualized, comprehensive services to the children and adults we support. Following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DOE), and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), The Shield Institute will continue to provide remote and limited in-person, physically-distanced supports and services to meet the operational needs of our organization. By working with families and communities, we help enable children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead full, meaningful lives that include a chance to work and contribute. Everyone has valuable talents and abilities.
