The Long Island Advocacy Center, Inc. (THE LIAC) is a private non-for-profit agency dedicated to protecting the legal rights of students and individuals with disabilities. The LIAC will help you with solutions to school problems such as discipline, truancy, suspensions, residency disputes, and inappropriate placements. The LIAC can provide information, referrals, technical assistance, and individualized advocacy services. LIAC works to empower families who are struggling with the Special Education process.
