About

SKIP is short for Sick Kids [Need} Involved People and partners with families connecting children to the services they need to grow up at home rather than in hospitals or institutions. Assistance is provided to sick and /or developmentally disabled children through service coordination, advocay through case managers.

Services Provided

Independent/Community Living

• Daily living skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, budgeting)
• Recreation (e.g., parks, sports centers, arts, summer camps)
• Home modifications (e.g., ramps, environmental control)

Healthcare

• Health specialists serving youth with disabilities (e.g., developmental pediatrician, occupational therapist, physical therapist, behavioral support)

Family Supports

• Support groups (e.g., parents, caregivers, peers)
• Educational resources for families
• Respite services

Education/Training

• Preschool/early childhood programs

Other Services

• Advocacy
• Assistive Technology
