About
Block Institute provides services to approximately 1,400 individuals each year, including children with special needs enrolled in Education Services, adults in our Day Services programs, and adults in Residential Services. Individuals that qualify to receive services at Block Institute are those who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability prior to the age of 21 years. Diagnoses which fall within the realm of a developmental disability include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Learning and Attentional Disorders, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Speech and Language Disorders, Global Developmental Delays, Intellectual or Cognitive delays, Traumatic Brain Injury, and individuals who present with a cognitive delay and are deemed to be medically fragile or medically involved.
