About

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that supports over 2,000 people with developmental disabilities and autism through Residential and Community Services, The Family Center for Autism, and Life's WORC Trust Services. For over 50 years Life’s WORC has provided comprehensive services and support to people with intellectual disabilities and autism and their families in Queens, Manhattan, Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Today, we support more than 2,000 people across our residential locations and community programs. Additional programs for both families and people with intellectual disabilities include at-home support, skills development and behavioral intervention, social recreational programs, and vocational training opportunities. The Family Center for Autism (FCA) is Long Island’s premier center for specialized services and programs supporting people with autism. Located in a sensory-friendly 9,800-square-foot, four-story building, the FCA is open seven days a week. We offer a range of autism and disability friendly therapeutic services, educational classes, social programs, recreational and vocational services. Our commitment to the whole family includes a personalized level of support, respite and social opportunities to parents, guardians, siblings, and other loved ones. Life’s WORC Trust Services is here to help by ensuring and planning for financial security for people with various disabilities. With a financial trust from Life’s WORC Trust Services, you can put aside money for the future care of you or your loved one while protecting the government entitlement benefits crucial to your well-being. We offer a choice of special needs Pooled Trusts—in which your money is pooled together with others, as well as private or Individual Supplemental Needs Trust, so you can plan for your financial future with confidence.
