The Center for Disability Rights (CDR) offers an array of services and supports for individuals with all types of disabilites regrdless of age or income. CDR has four office locations in Albany, Corning, Geneva and Rochester. CDR operates Independent Living Services under New York State's Home and Community-Based Service waivers for those people who want to live in their own home rather than an institution. CDR also provides Consumer Directed Personal assistance Service (CDPAS) through New York state to empower individuals to control who is coming into their home an dproviding hands on care. CDR also has a "Pooled trust" for individuals with disabilites, regardless of age, in order to qualify for Medicaid services without 'spending down' into poverty.
